Privacy Policy

At Trinity Welfare, your privacy is a priority. This document outlines how we handle data and ensure safety for all our visitors and residents.

Data Collection

We only collect information that is necessary to provide safe and effective care. This may include contact details and relevant health or background information provided through our referral processes.

How We Use Information

All information is used exclusively to facilitate child-centered care, trauma-informed practices, and to ensure we meet the unique needs of every young person in our home.

Security and Transparency

We employ strict security measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access. Trinity Welfare is committed to being transparent about our data handling practices at all times.

Your Choices

You have the right to request access to the information we hold, or to ask for corrections if any details are inaccurate. Protecting your rights is integral to our nurturing approach.

Safeguarding Procedures

The safety and well-being of the children and young people in our care are the most important aspects of our work. Trinity Welfare maintains rigorous safeguarding standards and procedures to ensure a protected environment for all.

Reporting Concerns

Clear pathways are established for reporting any concerns regarding a child's welfare. Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is always available to provide guidance and take necessary action in coordination with local authorities.

Staff Training

Every team member at Trinity Welfare undergoes comprehensive, mandatory safeguarding training. This training is regularly refreshed to ensure all staff are aware of current legislation, signs of abuse, and reporting protocols.

Recruitment Standards

We follow strict safer recruitment guidelines for all employees and volunteers. This includes enhanced DBS checks, verified references, and thorough vetting to ensure only those suitable are working with our young people.

Child Protection

Our child protection policy is center-aligned with trauma-informed care. We prioritize the voice of the child and ensure they are supported through any investigation or intervention with dignity and empathy.

Complaints Procedure

Trinity Welfare is committed to providing the highest quality care. We value feedback and take all concerns seriously. Our formal complaints process ensures that any issues are addressed promptly, fairly, and transparently.

Stage 1: Informal Feedback

We encourage parents, guardians, or local authorities to raise any minor concerns directly with the on-site Home Manager or key worker. We aim to address these through immediate dialogue and a solution-focused approach to ensure the happiness and safety of all young people.

Stage 2: Formal Complaint Handling

If the informal resolution is not satisfactory, a formal written complaint can be submitted. Trinity Welfare will investigate the matter thoroughly, gathering all relevant information and providing a clear, written response within defined statutory timeframes.

Stage 3: Independent Adjudication

Should a complainant remain dissatisfied, the issue can be escalated to an independent person or panel. This ensure a final review by someone outside the immediate management structure of the home, providing an impartial perspective.

Direct Support for Children

Young people in our care are actively encouraged to express their feelings and raising complaints themselves if they feel unhappy. We provide access to independent advocates through Childline and NYAS to ensure their voices are heard and protected.
